Our DCO application was accepted by the Planning Inspectorate for examination on 2nd August 2022. A series of examination hearings have been held to ensure the Examining Authority can make an informed decision on whether to recommend DCO be granted. The final decision will be made by the Secretary of State for the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero. The examination is due to end on 21st August 2023, after which the Examining Authority will have three months to write their report to the Secretary of State. Following this, the Secretary of State will have a further three months to make their decision.
The examination timetable and all of the application and examination documents are available on the PINS website: https://infrastructure.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/eastern/medworth-energy-from-waste-combined-heat-and-power-facility/?ipcsection=overview
