We are extending the deadline for applications for a Community Liaison Manager. It is important to us that we find the right person for the role; we are therefore leaving applications open until Sunday 27th October 2024. You can download a copy of the advert here.

The Package: Competitive salary, bonus and benefits appropriate to the outward facing nature of the role.

The Role:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and other people’s health and safety at work.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement activities, including supporting the Communications and Community Relations Manager to establish a local liaison committee.
  • Prepare and distribute pro-active communications materials, including maintaining up-to-date information on MVV’s website.
  • Work closely with other teams and process areas to ensure local initiatives and undertakings are delivered.
  • Raise awareness of and improve attitudes to the waste hierarchy and responsible waste management.

The Person:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Significant experience of local community work and/or organisations.
  • Good understanding of local, national and global sustainability issues/agendas.
  • Flexible attitude to managing change and the evolving needs of the role, which will cover the pre-construction, construction, commissioning and operational phases of developing a new, state of the art, Energy from Waste Combined Heat and Power facility.
  • Able to take the initiative and demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Strong network local to Wisbech.
