The Role:
- Take reasonable care of your own and other people’s health and safety at work.
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement activities, including supporting the Communications and Community Relations Manager to establish a local liaison committee.
- Prepare and distribute pro-active communications materials, including maintaining up-to-date information on MVV’s website.
- Work closely with other teams and process areas to ensure local initiatives and undertakings are delivered.
- Raise awareness of and improve attitudes to the waste hierarchy and responsible waste management.
The Person:
- Educated to degree level.
- Significant experience of local community work and/or organisations.
- Good understanding of local, national and global sustainability issues/agendas.
- Flexible attitude to managing change and the evolving needs of the role, which will cover the pre-construction, construction, commissioning and operational phases of developing a new, state of the art, Energy from Waste Combined Heat and Power facility.
- Able to take the initiative and demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Strong network local to Wisbech.
